Buses

Several operators offer direct connections to Vagos during the festival. There is a Rede Expressos
stop in Vagos, on Av. Dr. Lúcio Vidal, next to the Quiosque Sport and right in front of the festival grounds.

Train

The nearest station is CP Aveiro, with frequent connections from major cities (Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra). From Aveiro, you can take the free festival shuttle, a taxi, or a local bus to the Capital of Metal.

If you prefer to come by car, access is easy and well signposted. Depending on your direction, the site is only 5–10 minutes from the nearest highway exit.

The festival has free parking areas nearby; it’s recommended to arrive early to secure a spot and avoid queues.

Free Camping

Vagos Metal Fest offers a free camping area for all ticket holders — and it’s right next to the festival grounds. The space includes showers, toilets, sinks, and a meal area, providing all conditions to fully enjoy the festival spirit.

  • General Pass: access to camping during the 5 festival days.
  • Daily Tickets: camping access only on the day(s) corresponding to the ticket

For safety reasons, vehicles are not allowed in the camping area. The use of camping stoves, grills near tents, or open fires is strictly prohibited. Designated safe grilling areas are available.

Glamping

For those seeking more comfort, Domo Camp Glamping is the ideal option.

Tents are pre-set and equipped, with mattresses and access to exclusive areas. Book in advance, as spots are limited.

Accommodation in Vagos and Aveiro

In the town of Vagos and the city of Aveiro you’ll find hotels, hostels, and local accommodations for all tastes and budgets. Early booking is recommended due to high demand during the festival.

Reduced Mobility

Attendees with disabilities are entitled to 50% discount on their ticket (general or daily), upon presentation of an official document proving a disability of 60% or more.

Tickets must be purchased at the festival box office. Access after priority wristband collection is via the backstage ramp, accompanied by staff.
